ToxHub is pleased to announce that Chiara Gazerro will participate as an invited speaker at the MaxPotent Pharma Summit 2026 taking place in Milan on 6 to 7 May 2026. This international event brings together experts from across the pharmaceutical industry to address scientific and regulatory challenges associated with highly potent active pharmaceutical ingredients, commonly referred to as HPAPIs. In this field, toxicological rigor and risk based decision making ensure patient safety and regulatory compliance.
During the summit, Chiara will deliver an oral presentation titled: “Tactical Approaches to the Toxicological Qualification of Non-Genotoxic Impurities in HPAPIs”. The presentation will focus on practical and scientifically grounded strategies to manage one of the most critical aspects of modern pharmaceutical development namely the qualification and control of impurities that do not exhibit genotoxic potential. These impurities may still represent a toxicological concern depending on exposure, duration of treatment, and patient population.
The presentation will give particular attention to situations where compound specific data are limited. In such cases, toxicologists use read across approaches, surrogate data, and weight of evidence evaluations to establish scientifically justified limits while maintaining a conservative safety margin.
